NOUVELLE LIPO is an exciting new approach to treat areas of unwanted fat and loose skin. It combines two clinically proven techniques to target specific layers of the skin and underlying fat in order to get the best outcome after lipocontouring (liposuction).

Specifically, NOUVELLE LIPO combines tumescent liposuction with nonablative radiofrequency skin tightening.

Tumescent liposuction was developed in the 1980’s and has been a mainstay in the plastic surgery approach to deal with removal of excess fat. There are numerous benefits to tumescent liposuction, including: smaller incisions, the reduction of bruising and swelling, and shorter recovery time.

Since that time there has been many attempts on improving outcomes from this technique. The addition of ultrasonic or laser energy have been used, but have not gained wide acceptance.

Radiofrequency skin tightening has been previously shown to benefit those dealing with loose skin in the face and also in the body areas.

NOUVELLE LIPO, by combining skin tightening with lipocontouring, allows for the targeting of the more superficial layers of tissue as well as the deeper fatty layers. This provides a more complete and comprehensive approach to treating difficult areas of fatty deposits and loose skin.
